Summed up in a song!

One day when Heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt among men, my example is He
Word became flesh and the light shined among us
His glory revealed

Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing
My Savior, Jesus, is mine

Oh, glorious day

Counting down...

You might remember from my first post that the reason behind this blog was that it was part of my uni assignment, well its due in in two days! The time has flown but I've loved doing my blog, which is nuts because I would never normlly have done something like this.

I've learnt that it is such an amazing way to get out to loads of people my views, my beliefs or just what I think or feel that day. It has been such an awesome oppertunity to tell people about Jesus and I have loved looking through all the videos looking for one to put on to show people.

It has been so encouraging for me to do this and has made me focus on Jesus so much more than I had been doing. He is such an awesome God and I hope people will keep reading this and will hopefully see him as he is too!

I'm really going to try to keep updating this with all the things the Lord is doing in my life and in my church at Mount. xxx

But It's Not Just Me!!!!!!!!!!

I am totally not alone in my love for Jesus, and I am definatly not alone in his love!

I attend Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and am surrounded by hundreds of people who have been saved by Jesus, who love him and it is amazing being part of such a huge family. They are all my brothers and sisters and I love them all!

Because of this I had the urge to create a video which includes clips of lots of friends, so that what Jesus means to them can be shown. I wanted to know what they felt, how Jesus has become their identity.

It is so amazing to know that I'm not alone in my feelings and my faith. Having others who trust in the Lord around me is immensely encouraging. They build me up, they love me and share and show me Jesus in how they live their lives...and by his grace I hope I can be this to them aswell!!!!!

I am so thankfull for them all!!!!!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

And whats more...

I've been thinking loads on my last post and something else came to me- who we are isn't what our names are, nor is it even our appearance. Now, I don't mean how we make our selves up to look...although saying that has just given me another idea...but our actual features, what we are born with.

People are recognised by their appearance, this is obvious in the world of celebrity, but is that their identity, is that who they are?

There are so many ways to change or hide what we look like. If we hate a certain part of our body then we can get a make over or cosmetic surgery, we can abuse our bodies with stuff like drink, drugs and food, these change how we look but don't make us who we are.

God created us, in his image, but that is not what he soley cares about. It is our lives that make us and the most important and critical thing we can do in life is turn to God, that what I did, and like I've said millions of times, thats what makes me, me!

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

This has given me a great idea for a page in my sketch book....

What's in a name?

I'm getting married in 6 weeks. 6 weeks! Thats totally insane but very exciting!!! My whole identity is in Jesus, but I'm changing all the time and I know that getting married will be another huge change for my life and for who I am.
Firstly I'll be changing my name. Thats the most obvious change right? But its crazy really, because it means your identity isn't even based on your NAME! No wonder it can be a puzzle for someone to think 'who am I?' when it can be so easy to change your name, one of things that you are recognised with. A name is fleeting, tempoary. Your given your name but throughout life it can change through marraige or even by deed poll if you simply don't like it! There's nothing wrong with changing your name, there are some very good reasons for doing so, but when I've been thinking on 'identity' I really don't believe that it is in your name.

One day my name will be forgotten :( as will most names, (unless I get super famous soon) but what I am sure of, is that when that time comes I'll be in heaven forever. My identity is in something permanent, solid and in something will stand through time, and my identity is in the name of Jesus.

My King Jesus

I was browsing through a classmate's facebook when I came across a 'Glog' (I must of missed that lecture...) I had been having lots of fun creating my blog so just had to have a nose at what a glog was. I don't feel that writing is one of my strong pints and am frequently stuck on what to write on this blog so to find a similar medium with which I could use mostly images was awsome!!

Here is my Glog, please have a look and see a small part of what Jesus means to me in a very visual way!!
